Kanini KiiruAuthentic Jazz as art, practice and embodiement research
A space where I share Jazz Dance Performance, Online Authentic Jazz dance classes, movement research, embodiement research & other creative work.

About Me
I am an artist, jazz dancer, movement researcher, and educator devoted to the legacy of Authentic Jazz - the social dances born within African American communities.
Born and raised in Croatia with Kenyan roots, I grew up studying piano, developing a deep sensitivity to rhythm, musicality, and expression. Today, my work is an ongoing exploration of my relationship with Black arts, spirituality, and identity.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of teaching, performing, and judging in more than 20 European countries, as well as in New York, Harlem, Houston, Montreal, Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul, and Bangkok. I am a three-time International Lindy Hop Championships (ILHC) Jazz champion.
